● このアルバム「Gratitude」は、2014年の夏に公式のアルバムとして発売しました。「Gratitude」がCDとして発売されて以来、約9年が過ぎようとしています。現在、このアルバムのCDは、オンラインで扱っていませんが、このアルバムに対する購入の要望もあり、この度、「Bandcamp」に於いて、「HD-wav」にてダウンロード販売することに決めました。
アルバム「Gratitude」は、本編10曲とボーナストラック2曲から成る12曲のアルバムとなっています。因みにボーナストラックの2曲は英語の歌詞の楽曲です。
このアルバムの構想は2012年からありました。僕は自分が聴いて育った「80年代」の洋楽のロック、ポップミュージックを反映するアルバムを作りたいと考えていました。先ずは、このアルバムの為に新しい曲を書く必要がありました。
このアルバムの本編10曲中2曲は古い楽曲でもう2曲は既存の曲でした。そこで僕は新たに6曲の新しい楽曲を書くことになりました。ボーナストラックの2曲については、どちらの曲も2012年に書いていました。新たな6曲は2013年に書き下ろしました。アルバムに収録の古い2曲は「Happy Birthday My Darling」と「Tears And Rain」です。既存の2楽曲は「Victory Road」と「STARS」です。「STARS」に関して言えば、この歌の作曲はスェーデンのミュージシャンであるBjörn Twerin氏が行い、僕はこの曲の作詞やヴォーカルのメロディラインを行なっています。
因みにこのアルバムの為に書き下ろした最後の新曲は「Your Happiness Is My Happiness」ですが、その曲はこのアルバムの中でも重要な楽曲となりました。それからこのアルバムのタイトルは「Gratitude」ですが、そのアルバムタイトルはこのアルバムの1曲目に収録されている「Thank You for Being a Friend」から着想を得ています。
アルバム「Gratitude」の録音については、2013年を中心に、2014年の春まで続きました。アルバムに収録されているドラムとベースギターについては、僕がプログラミングを行なっています。その他の楽器やヴォーカル、バック・ヴォーカルなどについては僕が全て録音を行なっています。それからこのアルバムのミックスダウンやマスタリングについては、一流のスタジオ・エンジニアによって施されています。そうやってアルバム「Gratitude」は80年代の洋楽のロック、ポップの要素を持った音へと昇華されました。

冒頭で述べた通り、アルバム「Gratitude」を発売して9年目となりますが、僕は今でもこのアルバムに対して誇りに思っています。世界中の多くの人達にこのアルバムを届けられた事も誇りに思っています。そして今、再びこのアルバムの音楽をダウンロード販売という形で世界へ届けられる事をとても嬉しく思っています。

● This album “Gratitude” was released as an official album in the summer of 2014. About nine years have passed since "Gratitude" was released as a CD. Currently, the CD of this album is not available online, but there is a demand for purchasing this album, so I decided to sell it as a download in "HD-wav" on "Bandcamp".
The album "Gratitude" is a 12-song album consisting of 10 main songs and 2 bonus tracks. By the way, the two bonus tracks are songs with English lyrics.
The idea for this album has been around since 2012. I wanted to make an album that reflected the '80s' western rock and pop music that I grew up listening to. First of all, I had to write new songs for this album.
Of the 10 songs on this album, 2 were old songs and the other 2 were existing songs. So I decided to write 6 new songs. As for the two bonus tracks, both songs were written in 2012. Six new songs were written in 2013. The two older songs on the album are "Happy Birthday My Darling" and "Tears And Rain". The two existing songs are "Victory Road" and "STARS". Regarding "STARS", the composition of this song is done by Mr. Björn Twerin, a Swedish musician, and I write the lyrics and vocal melody line of this song.
By the way, the last new song I wrote for this album was "Your Happiness Is My Happiness", and that song became one of the most important songs in this album. Also, the title of this album is "Gratitude", and the album title is inspired by "Thank You for Being a Friend" recorded in the first song of this album.
As for the recording of the album "Gratitude", it was mainly in 2013 and continued until the spring of 2014. I programmed the drums and bass guitar on the album. All other instruments, vocals, backing vocals, etc. were recorded by me. Also, the mixdown and mastering of this album was done by top studio engineers. In this way, the album "Gratitude" was sublimated into a sound with elements of Western rock and pop in the 80's.

As I mentioned at the beginning, it's been 9 years since the album "Gratitude" was released, but I'm still proud of this album. I am also proud to have delivered this album to so many people around the world. And now, I am very happy to be able to deliver the music of this album to the world again in the form of download sales.
